Years 1 and 2 visit to Bristol Zoo
As part of this term's topic "Are we animals?" the children of Years 1 and 2 visited Bristol Zoo on Thursday 24th May. They were looking forward to learning about different habitats, including polar and desert environments
The children were shown different animals and were able to touch them to see how their fur or skin has adapted to the climate in which they live
They learned that rats aren't fussy about where they live or what they eat, but other animals are...
such as the leopard gecko above which stores fat in its tail to sustain in during times when food may be scarce. Despite the rain showers we had a fantastic day! Thank you to Bristol Zoo for helping us with our learning!
