Sports Day Success

Today's sports day for Years Reception to 6 was a great success.  Kindly hosted by Colston's School in Stapleton the children took part in a range of sports and activities.  The children were split into teams - red, blue, green and yellow - the winners are yet to be announced!

Tired, hungry and happy children returned to school to a host of healthy lunch options.

The children and staff of The Kingfisher School would like to thank all those from Colston's School for their enthusiasm and amazing sports day set up.  Also many thanks to the parents and carers that were able to join us today to cheer on the children and make it extra special.

  • "What's the difference between noise and sound?" Y4 carried out an experiment using sound waves yesterday to help us answer our Enquiry question. We proved that the pressure created by sound waves can move physical objects. Watch the rice dance! Read more September 20th
  • Maple Class have completed astronaut training this week. The astro-course tested our ability to improve our movement skills, coordination and speed. We completed the course three times, each time trying to improve our previous speed and accuracy. Read more September 20th
  • Ash class walked around the local area to explore what materials are used for different buildings for their Enquiry "What could our classroom be made of?" What an amazing array of types we have on our doorstep! Read more September 18th
  • First day of the new term and the new academic year! Elsa arrived to talk about our new curriculum and states of being. September 4th
  • a day for celebration! Congratulations to the children who have been in school every day this year. They celebrated 100% attendance with a film, popcorn and ice lollies hosted by our Principal Kirsteen Craig #100%attendance July 19th
