  • Non School Uniform Day

Just a reminder that it's non school uniform day on Wednesday 12th June.  In return for wearing their own clothes, we ask that each child bring in one item for the forthcoming Summer Fayre tombola.  Toiletries, chocolates, biscuits - anything you think would make a nice prize!
  • Nursery and Reception Author Visit

As part of our project 'Can you tell me a story?' We are very lucky to be having a visit from the children's author Mike Brownlow on Wednesday, 12th June. He is the author of books such as 'Ten little Pirates' which I am reading with the children next week. Mike will be in the nursery and reception classes during the morning running story telling workshops.
In celebration of this event, the children can come to school dressed as pirates!
  • Father's Day Lunch

Bookings for father's day lunch must be made by Friday 7th June. For just £3 dads, grandads, brothers, uncles and cousins can join us for a "big breakfast" and dessert! Don't miss out!
  • SRE Video

  • Parents who expressed an interest in seeing their child's SRE video before the lessons take place should come to the session on Tuesday 11th June at 3.30pm.  Please sign in at the school office.

Please remember that we are a nut free school.  It is essential that no nuts are brought to school for snacks, lunch or otherwise.  Please contact the school office if you require further clarification. Thank you for your cooperation.

  • Earrings and Uniform Policy

In line with our Uniform Policy please can we remind you that earrings should either be removed or covered with plasters during PE and other sporting activities.  Earrings worn to school must be studs. Please send plasters in with your child if they are not comfortable in removing them for PE.

A copy of the uniform policy can be found on our website. If you have any questions please contact the school office.

  • Buggies and Prams in School

As we continue with Phase 2 of the school building programme there remain certain restrictions in place.  To maintain fire safety we are unable to accommodate prams or buggies within the school.

This means that for any events such as assemblies, prams and buggies should be locked in the specially provided buggy stores at the front of the building.

Once the building works are complete, exits will be more suitable for buggies and we will be, once again, happy to bring them into the building.

    We appreciate your cooperation.

  • Arrival at School for Breakfast Club

Our free breakfast club begins each school day at 8am.

If you are bringing your child to breakfast club, please ensure that an adult is able to wait in the main school reception with them.  School staff cannot be liable for children until the school day (breakfast club) begins.

If you have any questions please contact the school office.

  • Headlice in School

Please be aware that there have been several cases of headlice in the younger years.  Please ensure you treat your child's hair with the appropriate medication and repeat as advised.

  • Spring/Summer Lunch Menu - Update

A change has been made to the menu on Monday Week 1.

  • Nursery & Reception (Early Years) Entrance Information

The gate to the nursery outdoor area will be open on a morning from 8.30am so that you can wait with your child until the start of the school day at 8.45am.

Please remember that the nursery outdoor area is a learning environment and staff will be setting up activities for the day as you arrive.

For this reason this is a polite request to wait with your child behind the tyres that we will put across the end of the garden.

Thank you in advance for your co operation.

  • Collection and Pick Up from Nursery

Now that the building work has been completed, we can use the gate at the end of the nursery garden where children come into school, at home time as well. This will start on Monday, 20th May.

At the pick up times of 12 noon and 12.30pm the gate will be opened by a member of staff and you can come into the garden.  We will then  send the children out to you one at a time as we do now to ensure safety.

  • Year 1 - PE Notice

Year 1 PE sessions will take place on Thursdays and Fridays during summer terms.  Please ensure children leave their PE kit in school on Thursday afternoon ready for their Friday lesson.

  • Battery Recycling

The Kingfisher School now offers a battery recycling service in reception!  Bring your old, unwanted batteries to the school office and leave them in the bucket in reception.  Let's see who can bring in the most - perhaps there will be a prize for the class who fills it first?

  • Term 6 Clubs

Just a reminder that Term 6 Clubs are:
