Sun Cream & Sun Hats:

Dear Parents and Carers,

If your child will be returning to school in the near future, please send them to school with a sun hat and cream.  The forecast for the coming weeks is for warm and sunny weather and lots of our activities will be taking place in the playground.

We hope all our families are well and staying safe.

If your children are currently attending school please ensure you send them in with sun cream and a hat.  This week's forecast is for warmer weather and we're doing lots of activities in the playground. Don't forget your own sun protection at home when taking your daily exercise!

Real PE at home:

real PE at home – online learning resources

real PE at home includes an online programme which supports families to be active, play and learn together. It includes a programme specifically for children in Early Years and Key Stage 1 with 12 themes, 6 areas, over 250 activities and challenges and 1000s of hours of fun and activity. This programme is also great for family play and fun.

It also includes a programme for children in Key Stage 2, with daily and weekly guidance provided for both programmes (starting from this week) in addition to an option to choose your own themes and activities.

There are so many benefits to being active, not only to our physical wellbeing but also to our emotional and mental health, especially in such testing times for all of us. We hope that the ideas help support you and your family to stay fit and healthy.

As a school, we will continue to monitor the situation closely, following all government advice as appropriate. We also have the support of Venturers Trust, where we have a central point of contact who is helping to ensure that we are doing everything possible to keep our students and staff safe.

We already have robust systems in place with regard to good personal hygiene, which includes giving children regular opportunities throughout the day to wash their hands. In individual classes and in whole school assemblies, we are reminding children how to prevent spreading germs.

I appreciate there is growing concern as cases become more frequent in the UK and we will notify you immediately of any change to our provision, should this be required. If you wish to discuss this further then do please contact me, via the school office.
