Parent/Carer Announcements 2020/2021

Year 1 notice:

On Friday 23rd October children in Year 1 should wear a football kit or their PE kit to school.

Guidance for Years 1 and 3 drop off and collection:

Following concerns raised by some parents we would like to clarify the drop off and pick up procedures.

  • The top gate will be opened earlier every morning and afternoon to reduce congestion on the pavement
  • Children should line up in their designated areas before a member of the Kingfisher staff opens the gates at the top of the steps. Children should then walk to their line-up area in the playground
  • We would ask that families drop children off and leave as soon as possible to assist with social distancing and avoid mixing bubbles
  • Please be on time for drop off and collection

MAINTAINING SAFETY AT DROP OFF AND PICK UP:

New rules will apply to drop off and pick up from Thursday 15th October:

Year 3 - to line up in the bike sheds (top of playground)

Year 1 - to line up against the brick wall (top of playground)

Years 4/5 - Enter the playground through the car park and line up by the garden fence

Years 5/6 - Enter the playground through the car park and line up below the MUGA

Please remember to socially distance at all times.  Yellow dots have been painted 2m apart on the front wall of the school to assist with distancing.

Please ensure children do not play in the road.

Please ensure class "bubbles" are not mixing when entering or exiting the school.

Reminder to apply for your child's Year 7 place:

Parents and carers of children in Year 6 are reminded that the closing date for Year 7 applications is 31st October 2020.  The link below explains more about the timetable and process for applications.

Could you be a Parent Governor?

We have a vacancy for a Parent Governor and we welcome Parents/Carers to stand for election. School Governors make a positive contribution to children’s education by offering supportive challenge to help raise standards. We are looking for a dedicated individual who wants to make a difference in the lives of children and are willing to share their experience, skills and time in an educational environment.

If you have a passion for improving the life chances of children and can offer supportive challenge to our school to help us to fulfil our vision please complete and return an Election Form, which you can collect from the office.

Dear Parents and Carers of Nursery Class children, please can you inform the school office if you have applied for 30 hours funding for your child.  A reply by Monday 5th October would be appreciated.

Dear Parents and Carers, please remember that children's water bottles should only contain water.  As a Healthy School we always encourage healthy food and drink options.  We appreciate your support with the children's wellbeing.
