World Book Day 2020 - A collaborative success

World Book Day 2020 was celebrated in style by The Kingfisher School and Venturers' Academy St Anne's Park, today at our Lichfield Road, Brislington site.

Children and staff from both schools dressed up as their favourite book characters, even though there was a little poetic licence in some cases - see the Honey Monster below!

Children at The Kingfisher School are encouraged to read at home at least 5 times per week and our well stocked library allows families to borrow books on a regular basis.  From Nursery to Year 6 we celebrate the books we read in class and individually - our prizes for the most creative costumes will be presented soon...  we were amazed and proud at the effort made by the children and their families, and some of the home made creations were superb!

We are so proud to be able to show you just a few highlights of the day, including both staff and children of The Kingfisher School and Venturers' Academy St. Anne's Park and the costumes of our visiting central Trust staff.

Well done to everyone who made today amazing and highlighted the importance, and fun, of World Book Day 2020 #Worldbookday2020
