A Working Partnership

At the Kingfisher School, we know that parents are our partners in their child’s education. In Nursery and Reception, we have regular stay and learn sessions (PEEP group) on Fridays. This is where parents can join in with the activities that the pupils are taking part in, for example Forest School or cooking activities.

Across the school we have work-alongs in Reading, Writing and Maths. This gives you the opportunity to come and learn how we teach the subjects and then to join in with a session with your child.

We have Parents’ Evenings three times across the year where parents have the opportunity to discuss their child’s learning and their next steps.

Our Parents, Teachers and Friends Association (PTFA) is extremely active across the school. All parents and carers are automatically a member of the PTFA and are a crucial resource to raise as much as possible for all the extras in the school.
